CCA

To keep pace with the present day world and meet all challenges of life, APS Basistha emphasizes on Co-Curricular activities along with academic curriculum.   Thus it provides each and every student a platform to develop and showcase his/her talents and acquire all round grooming.  We have included CCA as an integral part of our class time table and the CCA class is held on every Friday.   We encourage mass participation, organize  Inter-School and Intra-School activities.

The Annual Fest/Annual Day/Sports Day is one of the important calendar activity which each student looks forward to. We have named our Annual Fest Psychedelix. Psychedelix for the session 2015-16 culminated in a Cultural Extravaganza on 11th Feb 2016.

In our weekly CCA periods some of the activities conducted are Quizzing, Mask Making, Debating, Pencil Shading, Poster Making, Wall Painting, Extempore Speaking, Paper Presentation, Calligraphy, Group Song and Street Plays.  Added to these our Sports Arena  includes Inter House & Inter School Matches in Volley Ball, Football, Hockey, Lawn Tennis, Cricket, Badminton and Table Tennis.

Occasions of International, National and Domestic importance are also highlighted and relevant activities taken up with the students.  To name a few,  some days of International importance that are   celebrated are the World Health Day, Anti-Terrorism Day, Common Wealth Day, Anti-Tobacco Day, International Day against Drug Abuse, World Population Day, Hiroshima Day, World Senior Citizen Day, International Day for Natural Disaster Reduction, Universal Children’s Day, World AIDS Day, St.Valentine’s Day, International Women’s Day and World Forestry Day.

Although in today’s time and day, globalization is very important, our Nation is the upper most in our mind.  Our diverse yet united Indian Heritage is well depicted and brought to our students through the celebration of Ekta Divas, National Technology Day, Quit India Day, Independence Day, Raksha Bandhan, National Sports Day, Teacher’s Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Children’s Day, Armed Forces Flag Day and the Republic Day to name a few.
